Behind the Curtain: Claire-Monique’s Journey in Stage and Company Management

Claire-Monique has extensive experience in stage and company management across theatre in both the UK and the US. She worked as an Assistant Stage Manager in New York with acclaimed director George Heslin, supporting new writing and festival productions. In London, she has served as Company Manager for Mark Ravenhill on projects at Wilton’s Music Hall and the Museum of Comedy, overseeing logistics, schedules, and company welfare. Her work spans a range of productions from intimate plays to large-scale events, demonstrating her organisational skill, calm under pressure, and collaborative approach to bringing complex creative visions to the stage.

In addition to stage and company management, Claire-Monique has developed strong technical skills in theatre production. She is experienced in using QLab for programming and operating both sound and projection cues, ensuring seamless transitions during live performances. Her work also includes programming basic lighting plots, adjusting cues to match rehearsal changes, and managing sound levels for performances in smaller venues. This technical grounding allows her to collaborate closely with creative and technical teams, understanding both artistic and practical requirements, and making her a versatile member of any production team.
